Darya Hancharova was born in Minsk (Belarus). She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice (Poland) with distinction and obtained her diploma at the Intaglio Techniques Studio and Painting Studio in 2019.

Her work focuses on painting, book illustrations, and intaglio techniques. Darya Hancharova’s paintings, graphics, and illustrations were awarded in different art competitions and can be found in many international exhibitions. Her works have been presented in Poland, Italy, Germany, Denmark, Japan, China, Spain, Romania, Croatia, Lithuania, Russia, Brazil, Macedonia, the UAE, and the USA.

”The main subject in my series of graphics and paintings is a Person in a broad sense. Our identity is infinitely complex and diversible, its mosaic structure combining all our relationships, our life experiences, and the world that surrounds us. The enormity of influencing factors often creates the illusion of the changeability of our identity. Nevertheless, expanding knowledge and skills and personal development broaden horizons and enrich a Person, but they do not change the natural, innate, and permanent structure we have.

This phenomenon of constant dynamics, mutual influence, and the strong bond of a Man with the external and internal worlds is the main topic of my art. It is such a captivating, fascinating, and never-ending theme that it gives me the possibility to explore it in different techniques, such as mezzotint and acrylic painting.

I think that one of the most important challenges in life is finding the answer to the question about your own ‘me’. The process of understanding and living in total truth not only helps us to understand and accept each and every person in our lives but also guarantees our happiness.”
